Rubyfruit Radio is a podcast of music by independent female artists and is one of the about half a dozen podcasts I listen to on a regular basis. The music spans many musical genres. I also can't help liking the reference to Rita Mae Brown's book, Rubyfruit Jungle. The host, Heather, does a good job of presenting the music and doesn't spend a lot of time talking about unrelated stuff.

The podcast is usually about half an hour and come out every few weeks. At this point there are over a hundred and thirty archived episodes if you want to listen to old ones.
