A Sad, Curious Observation

You may have heard about the shooting at a Knoxville church yesterday. If you haven't, read the article in the link. It gives a good summary. Romney's at it Again

Romney (and McCain also though that isn't mentioned in the article) thinks the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy shouldn't be changed. He thinks that making major changes during a conflict is a bad idea. So he thinks that getting rid of qualified men and women who have specialized skills and are hard to replace is a good idea.  Read more... »

Do Fertilized Eggs Have Rights?

If a proposed amendment to Colorado's Constitution makes it on the ballot and becomes ratified they will. Of course, since a fertilized egg lacks a brain to know it has rights and a voice to express it's wishes it will be left to the groups that oppose a woman's right to reproductive freedom to advocate for them.  Read more... »

Testing Bush's Tolerance

Unfortunately, I think the author is giving far too much credence to Bush's "compassionate conservatism" claim. The veto has already been threatened and it seems Bush has lately begun to enjoy wielding his veto pen.
